Are
you on track for this year's goals?
Sometimes, by now, we have lost
sight of what we had planned for the
year or we are so behind, we have
given up. Well, there is still 25%
of the race left to run and you CAN
achieve what you dreamed at the
beginning of the year, if you
intentionally focus on doing it. The
last quarter of the year is often
one that has so many distractions,
it is easy to get sidetracked.
But
is is also one where you have less
competition, buyers are more serious
and the homes that are listed look
beautiful at holiday time. It is
also the perfect time to reconnect
with clients you've been out of
touch with.
So,
I ask you: "Are you still committed
to the goal you set for this year?"
If the answer is yes......What do
you need to do to get there? What
would you/could you do, say, if
someone's life was at stake if you
didn't meet that goal? (it is, you
know :>)
Is
it time to do a prospecting blitz
(you could play the next Real Estate
Game!) to insure last quarter
results and get a good jump on 2003?
Do what it takes...you'll be glad
you did.

My favorite philosopher, Jimmy
Buffet, says "Fun is a
pretty good habit to have."
The average child laughs 400
times a day. The average adult,
only 25, according to Dr. Andrew
Weil. When did we lose the
natural joy in every day?
COACHING TIP> Plan
something this week for the pure
enjoyment of it. It you are
lucky enough to have a small
person in your life, hang out
and laugh along with him or her.
If not, do something for the
pure fun of it: go roller
skating, bowling, fly a kite or
go to a silly movie. Invite a
client to go contra dancing with
you. Hang out with someone who
makes you laugh.

I just had the privilege to
be chosen as one of
Wyndham's 2002 Women On
Their Way Winners. I'm
writing this flying home
from a lavish awards dinner
and festivities at the
Dallas Wyndham Anatole
Hotel where the other 4
winners and myself were
treated like royalty: We
were given crystal awards
from Tiffany's, Lalique
Crystal Heart Necklaces, new
tennies from New Balance, a
$1200 shopping spree at Liz
Claiborne and then American
Airlines has provided
airfare to the Wyndham
destination of our choice
(Bub gets to go) where we'll
have a week's free stay!
But the most interesting
part for me was learning of
how Wyndham has created
partnerships and is carving
a niche as the preferred
hotel for women business
travelers. Their
ByRequest Program is
free and allows you to
specify your preferences:
like your favorite wine and
snack on arrival, or down
pillows and the Wall Street
Journal. Or (my preferred
food group) chocolate chip
cookies before bed!
I was also inspired by
comments by Wyndham CEO,
Fred Kleisner, on the
commitment of his company to
authentically nurture the
needs of his guests, both
men and women.
With hotel choices often
being driven by price...the
sound thinking of this hotel
chain to create some value
addeds to entice and pamper
the woman traveler strikes
me as the kind of thinking a
realk estate agent needs in
today's market to rise above
the competition and to
differentiate themselves in
an area other than the
commission.
How can you be like Wyndham:
identifying an ideal client
and giving that ideal client
benefits that create
appreciation and loyalty???
Have some fun brainstorming
some outrageous answers to
this question and create WOW
moments for your clients. |
